Fall 2023, Rahn

For my Applied Strategic Decision Making class, the final presentation is a crucial element for completing the major project in this course. It serves to summarize the work done on various sub-parts of the project, showcasing a deeper understanding of the case company. The presentation also becomes a platform for presenting any recommendations. It is akin to an Executive Summary, focusing on key results from selected assignments, and blends findings from Employer Branding, Strategy Dynamo, and Web development. The goal is to approach it as if presenting to the case company as part of a hired project.

Fall 2023, Heinze

As a group in Strategic Marketing Management we were assigned to research a company in your assigned industry. Based on your analysis, create and deliver a 15-minute presentation in which you strategically analyze your assigned company. 

Presentation outline consists of several key sections: Group Introduction, Summary/Outline, Description & brief history of the assigned company. Review of recent market performance and position within the industry. Discussion of current challenges, threats, and opportunities. Strategic Marketing Recommendations: Suggestion of a specific market penetration, market development, product development, or diversification strategy Defense of the recommended strategy.

Spring 2023, Dr. Shin

For my International Marketing class, the semester group project that is made up of 3 parts: brand investigation, country report, and an international marketing plan. We are to choose a product and develop and research ways that product can be marketed in another country.

Fall 2022, 

For my Survey of Management class, the group project consisted of being assigned a company, research on operations, and implementing a plan. We were assigned to do research, perform a SWOT analysis, create an implementation plan, and analyze staffing costs.

Fall 2023, Rahn

We ran a simulation in my Applied Strategic Decision Making class. In Part 1 of the People Express Project, your team is trying to replicate the Don Burr strategy. The idea is to come to understand what happened and why. In Part 2 of the People Express Project, the team develops a strategy, develops strategic objectives, and generates a report. Highlighting the main
results and unintended outcomes of the developed strategies. Describe how your strategy is better than Don Burr’s from part 1.

Fall 2023, Heinze

 The semester project for my Strategic Marketing Management class had 4 parts. Part 1: Research secondary sources to determine the various residential solar market segments. Part 2: Determine primary or combined positioning strategy for each segment the develop a market/product grid for your three segments and compose a positioning statement. Part 3: Decide which of your three target markets offers the most potential. Develop a creative platform, a "two-click" social media advertisement, a mailer which will be sent to your chosen target market, create a flyer that will be used by Solar Works' salespeople, and create the storyboard for a TV advertisement segments. Part 4: Present this marketing strategy to representatives of the Solar Works company. 

Spring 2023, Nelsen

For my Advertising/Marketing Communications class, the semester group project that is made up of 6 distinct parts that work together to form a singular creative plan and pitch.  This finished creative plan/pitch will then be presented to the class. Groups get to select any company you want to work on as long as you feel that their current promotional plan is not working. Objective: Assume that the plan you put together for them needs to increase sales by 10% over the next 2 years. Budget Restrictions:  The new promotional plan should not exceed 1% of revenue for the company.

Fall 2022, Agoff

For my Human Resource Management class, the group project was a simulation. This simulation had 10 rounds, budget to use, and different options on creating the right environment for your team. Final results and reports are presented in front of the class.

Fall 2022, Dr. Trivedi

For my Operations Supply Chain Management class, the group project was focused on the Agile method on the company John Deere.

Fall 2023, Stone

For Sales Management class an Interview assignment required students to interview a sales representative and gain insights into sales management from the representative's perspective. The goals of the interview are to explore topics related to sales management, including training (initial and ongoing), territory assignment, reporting requirements, performance evaluation, supervision dynamics with sales managers, and recommended skills/traits for both sales supervisors/managers and the sales representative's role.

Fall 2023, Stone

This Sales Management assignment involves completing a sales leadership training on LinkedIn Learning. Students sign up for a training, complete it, and then submit an assignment with details such as overall impressions, the best modules for the class, the training's relationship to the course, and key takeaways. The review includes aspects like the training's effectiveness, relevance to class concepts, and the student's learning experience. It aims to assess the practical applicability of the training to sales team management.

In my Sales Management class there were weekly assignments to read the provided case study and answer the following questions assigned by the Professor. Students are required to analyze and respond to the case study questions.

In my Digital Marketing class students were to watch the "Generation Like" video AND reviewing the top videos of all time link. Then were asked to consider questions related to the video. Assignment was to be at least 2 pages double spaced.

Marketing Research MKTG 380

 The marketing research report is the final project, providing a chance to apply class concepts to a real-world situation. Objectives include demonstrating practical research application, understanding the research process, developing strategic marketing research skills, and exploring research's role in managerial decisions. The project involves original research, with students formulating questions, analyzing results, and writing a final report. Students act as consultants for a real company, addressing specific concerns, and concluding with strategic marketing recommendations.

Fall 2023, Minetti

In my Digital Marketing class students were assigned to use a computer and log out of all your social media accounts. Search your name in at least two web browsers. Look for anything surprising in the results. Make changes to your online profiles to ensure they reflect the image you want, especially if you're job hunting. Submit a 1–2 page double-spaced summary of what you found, what you learned, and any adjustments you made.
